Just looking at, Lima and Cusco in isolation , I would say both merit 2-3 days and , if I had to choose , I would probably go for 3 in Cusco and two in Lima. Altitude affects everyone differently, but the best thing to do is to start lower and work your way up, so when you arrive in Cusco (the highest on your list), head to the Sacred Valley first, from there visit Machu Picchu, then return to Cusco to visit there (unless you are hiking the Inca Trail, then you must visit Cusco for at least two …
